Child Safety Matters Programing Helps Educate Students
St. Mark’s Campus
The St. Mark’s Campus is continuing its partnership with the Monique Burr Foundation to deliver the Child Safety Matters program.
The program educates and empowers children and all relevant adults with information and strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to bullying, cyberbullying, all types of abuse, and digital abuse dangers. Over the past few weeks, teachers have completed the first of two lessons.
During the lesson, students were taught the five Safety Rules: Know What’s Up, Spot Red Flags, Make A Move, Talk It Up, and No Blame/No Shame. The content within the curriculum is shared by using child-friendly language, weaving in movement, and providing take-home items to remind children of the lessons discussed.
