Fine Arts Chapel Theme: "He is Worthy"
Fine Arts Chapel occurred on May 1 in the newly dedicated Deming Theatre. Music, theatre, dance, visual arts students, and technicians all played an integral role in the special Chapel service, which was themed “He is Worthy.”
Senior Gracie Guy began Chapel with a performance about being a Christian and an artist. Senior dancers then treated the audience to a beautiful piece from the spring dance concert. Band students presented a moving piece of music. Visual artists prepared a slideshow of their work for the student body, and Choral students sand two pieces from India and South Africa from their spring concert which featured music from around the world.
Ben Ketchum ’19 read a passage from Revelation 5 about the Lamb of God and the Throne of Grace in the last days.
To conclude the Chapel, theatre students with soloist Jake Moorehead ’19 began the song “Is He Worthy,” by Andrew Peterson, and were joined by the band students who accompanied, the choral students, dancers in the aisles, and visual arts juniors and seniors holding candles and singing as well.
“All of the arts came together to remember that we create because our Creator is indeed WORTHY,” said Katie Lebhar Black ’95, Director of Fine Arts.
