Tennis Team Takes Orlando
By: Kate Nicholson ‘18
This past weekend, both the girls and boys varsity tennis teams traveled to Orlando to compete against Winter Park High School and Lake Highland Preparatory School in a “round robin” tournament. The tournament was held at the United States Tennis Association National Campus (also known as the Home of American Tennis), which has approximately 104 courts, including clay, hard and grass courts. The team was shocked and honored to be invited to play at such an amazing facility. Over the course of two days, the girls and boys teams competed against each other in singles and doubles, with each player playing in four or so matches each. The Lady Eagles split their matches, beating Lake Highland Prep and losing to Winter Park, while the boys team unfortunately fell to both teams. Overall, the experience of being at such a fantastic facility was one-in-a-lifetime for the teams. Let’s go, Eagles!
