Episcopal Students win $380,000 in Scholarships from SCAD

Episcopal has Outstanding Representation at the Northeast Florida Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the nation\'s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in grades 7-12. On Saturday, February 3, ESJ students were recognized along with students from surrounding counties at the Northeast Florida Scholastic Art Awards. The ceremony, located at The Florida Theater, featured keynote speaker Hope McMath, founder of Yellow House and former Executive Director of the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens.

Thirty-five students were represented from Episcopal, winning 52 awards. Episcopal students who won Gold Key (first place) were awarded $5,000.00 scholarships to the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) for each year if they attend the school. Gold Key Portfolio winners were awarded $10,000.00 per year scholarships to SCAD. The cumulative total of scholarship money awarded to ESJ students was an incredible $380,000.00!
