Global Learning Opportunities for Summer 2025

Episcopal will offer several opportunities for learning this summer through its Institute for Global Learning program. Programs include: French Exchange May-June; Iceland – June 10-17; Costa Rica June 27-Jul 13; and Japan June 1-10. Students will have the ability to study history and nature on a trip to northern Iceland, where they will visit geothermal areas, national parks, and go whale watching. In Japan students will participate in a tea ceremony, and visit Tokyo and Osaka Castle, among other sites. The Costa Rica immersion trip includes two weeks of language classes, volunteering, and learning about culture and history in Heredia and Samara on the Pacific coast. The Los Angeles mission trip in June includes service opportunities with urban homeless, faith formation, and learning opportunities exploring school systems, immigration issues, and political science. A trip to Greece, “In the Steps of St. Paul,” will also be held in June. ESJ is hosting students for a Spanish Exchange in the spring with students from Colegio Ingles, who ESJ students visited last summer.These programs are open to current ninth through eleventh grade students.
