St. Mark’s Campus Embraces the Spirit of Christmas with Recent Performances
Episcopal School of Jacksonville, St. Mark’s Campus recently presented two performances in anticipation of the Christmas season. The first, a Lessons & Carols service, showcased the musical talents of fourth and fifth-grade students. Using hand chimes, recorders, ukuleles and voice, students performed songs interspersed with scripture readings.
The second performance, a heartwarming nativity program, was led by Pre-K 4 students. This endearing presentation unfolded like a living nativity scene, with students donning costumes and reciting lines to portray iconic figures from the Christmas story. The stage came alive with Mary and Joseph, a shining Star, Wise Men bearing gifts, heavenly Angels, and a cast of adorable animals from the manger. The enthusiastic performances of the young students added innocence and magic to the portrayal of the nativity story.
“These festive performances not only showcased the hard work and artistic abilities of the students but also provided a beautiful opportunity for the ESJ community to come together and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas,” said Beville Anderson, Head of Lower School, St. Mark’s Campus. “Merry Christmas to all!”
