Outerwear Reminder

As the weather cools down, below is a friendly reminder about ESJ’s winter wear dress code.

Outerwear:

Episcopal sweaters, sweatshirts, and jackets are the primary items that can be worn as outerwear. These can be purchased from the Campus Store on Episcopal’s Munnerlyn Campus.

Non-Episcopal outerwear purchased from outside vendors must be predominantly White, Gray, Khaki, Brown, Dark Blue, Gold, Maroon, or Black. Denim jackets are not allowed.

Non-Episcopal outerwear must fit properly with no inappropriate insignias, wording, or offensive embellishments. One small emblem is allowed.

Tucked in uniform tops must be worn under outerwear.

Winterwear: All students should have uniforms accommodating cold weather conditions (at least one pair of dress code slacks). Boots are permitted for 50-degree weather and below. Please pack a change of shoes for P.E. Solid sweaters, turtlenecks, and sweatshirts in uniform colors are required. Girls – knee socks, tights, or leggings are acceptable on cold weather days. Windbreakers, jackets, or fleece jackets and vests will be removed in the classroom or church.

To ensure that your student’s outerwear gets back to them, it is extremely helpful to label their name in their jacket or sweater.  Please remember all the jackets and sweaters look the same.  Lost items can be located in Lost and Found in McCormick Hall corridor.
