Swimming Program

The Swimming program consists of Boys and Girls Varsity teams, each open to sixth through twelfth graders. The teams use the Elizabeth Simpson Walton ’71 Aquatic Center for their practices and home meets. The 50 meter pool, named for Coach Randy Reese, was dedicated in 2017 and refinished in 2020. Coach Reese began the Eagles’ swim program and within four years, Swimming World magazine named the men’s team as the number one in the nation. The Swimming program is one of the most decorated programs in the ESJ Athletic Department – boasting several individual state championships as well as the team’s 1976 national championship. Episcopal’s swim team has been the state runner up for the past two years, and consistently sends swimmers on to compete collegiately in the sport.
