“A Vision For Art” Open call for artists

A Premier Art Exhibit in the Southeast

DESCRIPTION: A Vision for Art is a five-day art exhibit showcasing a carefully curated and diverse group of artists from the greater Jacksonville area and beyond.

VENUE: Episcopal School of Jacksonville, St. Marks Campus, 4114 Oxford Avenue Jacksonville FL. 32210

EXHIBITION DATES: April 22 – April 26, 2022

OPENING NIGHT CELEBRATION: On Friday, April 22, Episcopal School of Jacksonville, St. Mark’s Campus will host the third annual A Vision for Art spring fundraiser.

5:00 – 6:00 p.m.: Patron Preview Reception

6:00 – 10:00 p.m.: Opening Night Celebration

Artists whose work is selected to be shown will receive two complimentary tickets to the Patron Preview Reception, followed by the Opening Night Celebration.

Opening night festivities include:

  • Gallery access to view and purchase artwork from more than 40 curated artists

  • Open bar

  • Elegant catered dinner

  • Meet and greet with the artists

GALLERY: Artists are invited to apply at www.avisionforart.com/opencall. Deadline for application submissions is December 31, 2021. Artists will be notified the second week of January regarding their acceptance status.

WHO MAY APPLY

1) A Vision For Art is open to all established and emerging artists from the United States, although we strongly encourage artists from the Southeast region to apply.

2) Submissions are accepted in the fields of painting, printmaking, sculpture, drawing, photography, mixed media, and installations. Space for installations is limited, please submit your applications early.

SELECTED APPLICATIONS

Submission of an application does not guarantee participation. An Art Selection Committee will review the applications and notify selected participants by January 15, 2022. If there are any questions about your proposal, we will contact you at the email address you provide on your application.

Each selected participant will be allowed a 9 x 9 foot area to display their work. The artist is responsible for the shipping. All works must be framed (gallery style) and ready to hang.

Artists are free to set their own prices and agree to share 50% of the sale price for their artwork with Episcopal School of Jacksonville, St. Mark’s Campus, benefiting their fine arts and financial assistance programs.

All accepted artists will complete a consignment agreement as part of this application. All artworks included in the show must be included in, and subject to the terms of the consignment agreement. Artworks that are not listed on the consignment agreement will not be permitted on the show premises. Further information and the consignment agreement will be included with the notification of acceptance.

Participating artists will receive a complimentary ticket and an additional ticket for one guest to the Patron Preview Reception and the Opening Night Celebration on April 22, 2022, from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m.

CATALOG: Participating artists and their selected art will be included in the A Vision for Art exhibition catalog. Catalogs will be available before, during and after the event.
